2022 — Pillars Certificate
On September 9, 2022, at the national educational meeting of the Catholic Medical Association, St. Raphael’s Guild was awarded the Pillars Certificate in recognition of the Guild’s achievement in at least three of the five pillars of an active Guild. The certificate was presented to the Guild on October 9, 2022, following the White Mass, by Emma Pero to Dr. Dan Skorich (President) and Dr. Gordy Harvieux (Vice President).
2022 — Outstanding Student Chapter
Also on September 9, 2022, the University of Minnesota Duluth CMA Student Section was awarded the Outstanding Student Chapter award. Emma Pero and Dr. Skorich presented it to the student section officers: Tony Ukkelberg (President), Katie Warner (Vice President), Abbie Boehmer (President Elect), and Allison Olsson (Vice President Elect). The CMA’s Pulse of Medicine journal published an article recognizing our students.
2020 — Outstanding Guild Chaplain
On September 24, 2020, Bishop Peter Muhich, our chaplain from 2013 to 2020, was presented with the national CMA’s Outstanding Guild Chaplain award. He accepted the award from his office via Zoom as part of the virtual national CMA meeting.
2012 — Outstanding Guild
St. Raphael’s Guild received the national Catholic Medical Association’s Outstanding Guild Award in 2012.
